Swarovski Crystals: Knitting with crystals is very different than knitting with beads. The crystals add a sparkle that just can't be had with beads. Cast-on(s): Did you know there are more tan two ways of casting on stitches? Do you "drill for stitches" when you knit your first row, twisting the needle to get it into the cast-on stitch to knit it? Time to get out of the rut and learn different ways of casting on that just might make the stating edge of your knitting look professional, easier to knit and not pucker.

Short Rows: You don't knit the whole row of stitches. Is that crazy? Short rows aren't just for knitting the heels of socks. Short rows can make a sweater fit better and can be used to make a beautiful scarf. Don't be afraid, short rows can be your friend.

Knit Your Scraps: This is a great way of using up all of your scrap yarn and get a fabulous sweater at the same time. We'll be cutting your odd balls of yarn into knitable bits and having fun with color sequences.

Textured Stitches: Discover the possibilities and beauty of knitting a scarf with textured stitches. This class explores possibilities of hand-painted yarn with knit, purl and slip stitches. DYEING:

Dye Your Own: This is a fun introductory workshop that will start you on the road to producing the unique color combinations in fiber that express your creativity. In this class you produce a skein of yarn in your own color palette. This class uses food safe dyes.

Socks!: Have you ever wondered why anyone would want to knit socks? After you wear your own hand-knitted socks, you'll never want to wear store-bought again. They actually fit your feet comfortably. Socks are easy "pocket" projects that you can do when you have just a moment to knit a round. This is the perfect project for warm winter feet.

Entrelac : This is a technique that will amaze you in the final product. A look of woven strips of diagonally attached squares. This is a great way to use up odds and ends of yarn. Learn how to knit back and forth without turning your work to purl!

Fair Isle Without Tears: Has fair isle knitting always stymied you? Are you afraid of the float tension making your sweater look like a seersucker suit? And, what the heck are "floats"? The knitweaving technique takes all the fear out of fair isle.

A 5mm (US 8) needles and two colors of scrap yarn (with contrast) are required.

Knitting Holes: Lace knitting is a simple but elegant form of pattern knitting. The finished piece can be light weight and warm at the same time. No special needles required and your existing circular needles will do just fine. You'll never have more fun making holes in your knitting.

Finishing! Yuck?: Okay, let's make this easy. Finishing can be done quickly and with little or no effort. Learn how to correctly finish a sweater plus some tricks that will make your sweater a hit wherever you wear it. No more unfinished projects left lying around. (Bring in your UFOs if you wish.)

Knit A Sweater: Learn to knit by making a sweater for you or for a gift. You will be knitting "The Long and Short of It," a sweater pattern that can be knitted in one of several different yarn weights with long or short sleeves. You can pick the yarn you lover and end up with a wonderful sweater.

Mobius Cowl: Learn to knit a delicate lacy cowl without any sewing. An interesting cast-on creates a mobius—knitting from the center out and both edges at the same time! Scissors and Knitting (Oh, my!): (Steeking) Taking a pair of scissors to your knitting? You've got to be kidding! I will hold your hand while I explain how to cut open a sweater knit in the round and make it into a cardigan and add the sleeves too. A knitted 8" square is required for the class.

Christmas Ornament : Learn to knit a beaded Christmas ornament. SPINNING:

Beginning Spinning: Learn how to spin your own yarns. There is nothing more satisfying than spinning the yarn you use to knit, crochet or weave. You'll start with a drop spindle and then you're onto the spinning wheel. It's a whole new dimension in working with fibers.
