This innovative hand knitting yarn has a reflective effect in the dark, making it ideal for children, cyclists, joggers, and everyone who wants to keep visible.
The reflective effect is caused by a high-tech component which is plied
together with the yarn.

Prism Yarn is now dyeing their yarn for Ikat knitting.

Ikat, dyeing is done to for a'pooling pattern to develope when knitting on a Magic Number.
The pattern variations possible are almost endless.
It's fun to do and easy to knit.

Here's our version of Prism's Vogue pattern that is still in progress. We're knitting this in Valhalla, a sumptuously soft fine merino wool and dyed in color Dune. We have it on display in the shop. Just ask us and we'll be glad to show it to you.

This is a shetland sport-weight wool from Denmark with beautiful long period color changes. It makes beautiful lightweight and warm socks, stoles, scarves, blankets, Fair Isle designs and is feltable.

Ravelry only shows 11,000 projects that have been done using this product for plenty of inspiration.

We love using Swarovski Crystals in our knitting.
It give a sparkle that you just can't get any
other way. You can add crystals to any lace knitting.

   We put a lot of effort into making sure everything in our store is well-organized and displayed to make your visit convenient, fun, and inspiring.

   Many of our projects are available in kits, and we always have lots of store models to excite your imagination.

   Whatever your skill level (beginner to expert), and whatever your budget, we'll give you a warm country welcome.

   We take care of special orders (from our regular vendors) with a smile. If we've never heard of it, we'll try to find it! We're glad to ship your order to you by mail or express delivery.

   For your convenience, we offer a regular program of workshops and classes, and are open on Thursday nights til 7 pm.

In the Heart of Virginia's Famous Hunt Country

   If you've never visited Virginia Hunt Country, you'll be enchanted by our beautiful country location in a charming country village.

   The Plains features antique and specialty stores, and we hope you'll stay for dinner, or better yet stay for a weekend. We're surrounded by Civil War sites, close to the Shenandoah Valley, and convenient to many equine (horse) events held in the area.

   Hunt Country Yarns is the best of both worlds: We're close to Washington, DC, and Dulles Airport but we're a world away!
